I usually do not send messages about tackle to people because it seems that everyone else always has something to say and it is usually best for me to keep my mouth closed. But, I think this time is an exception: you guys have created a really good bait in the Cutter Bug, period. I have been fishing for smallmouths in the rivers of our state for forty odd years, and usually throw (not always) nothing but a tube or jig 'n pig. I decided to start fishing a couple of our nearby reservoirs this past fall of 2011, both of which are exposed to incredibly high fishing and boating pressure, and have finally found that the Cutter Bug has become that "go to" bait for when the fishing gets really tough. I started out this early spring using the cutter as a trailer for my hand-tied jigs but have just recently switched to using it solo on an empty jig on an 8 lb line and it seems to really work on those finicky bass that are deep and hard to motivate. PLEASE keep up the good work on these Cutter Bugs and don't let some other big tackle manufacturer talk you into selling out. No one around here even knows what a cutter bug is, has ever seen one, nor stocks them -- I have been getting them from Sportsman's Warehouse on the net. I know this sounds selfish about it being "unknown" around where I live, but at this time it is just my good fortune until the "cat gets out of the bag". Again, thanks for making a really good bait.
