    Colebrook River Res. Ct.

Bobct decided we neede to get away from waterskiers, so we took a long ride up to colebrook. Haven't caught any smallies in a while so why not. The water level is very low and the spots that produced for us didn't happen. I told Bob lets head for the weeds on the north end. NO WEEDS at all in the north or south ends. Bob pulled a pickerel out and I got a smallie up there on a crawfish. Met a guy with a Lund. [ another wise man lol ] He told us about a steel bridge in 25ft of water. We cruised with the side image going and found it 1/2 way down the lake. Dropshotting with James saltstick in pumkin, brought up three more smallies and a rockbass. Died down , so we headed for the south end to pull in two more smallies on crawls. Nothing over 14" on the smallies, but a great day on the water.

Good report Gregg, How did you rig that crawfish? Was that a live crawfish?

I use a #4 offset through the tail end with the hook buried in the back so it sits natural. 1/4 oz weight to finish off the texas rig. We can't find anyone here that will sell crawdads live. Seeing as I try different lakes around the state, I haven't put much thought into buying a trap for them.
