Crazy 4 Fish'n

I went up to the gorge for a couple of days last week for some koke action. We had kind of a slow day on thursday and only ended up getting 4 in the boat. We finally went down by Anvil were the fish are stacked and ended up wacking some serious Kokes. The fishing was red hot we caught all our fish on salmon squids with a dodger. 40 to 45 feet deep was the ticket I'm not sure how many we caught but we were busey until around 9 in the morning. We started fishing at 5:45 am, which it is still a morning bite, so don't sleep in unless you don't like to catch fish.

It sounds like fun Skeeter! I need to get up there next year for some Kokes.

4 of us went up the 8th, 9th, and 10th to Buckboard. We baoted around 70 kokes with 1 pushing 6.17#! We caught a bunch in the 3 to 4# range also. We managed 5 bass the whole trip and we actually targeted them a few times with minimal success. The orange/changeable craw was the best bait.

Sounds like you guys did good. 6.17# isn't that a new state record? We tried a different spot on thursday and had some trouble. Friday we ended going were we new the fish were and slayed them as well. I don't know how many I caught but I bet I caught one or had doubles on every 5 minutes or so. But it was great to get up there again it sucked I could only go for 2 days but I take what I can get. I need to go back we only have a couple weeks left.
